§6§l? Is NotEnoughUpdates actually free?

Yes. NEU is 100% free, 100% open-source under the LGPL-3.0 license. No paywall, no ads, no telemetry. Anyone charging you for NEU is scamming you — report them to the Discord.

§6§l? Does it work on Minecraft 26.2?

Yes. NEU now has first-class support for the latest 26.2, as well as 26.1.2, 1.21.11 and 1.21.10 on the Fabric loader. Java 21 is required.

§6§l? Will I get banned on Hypixel?

No. NEU is explicitly allowed under the Hypixel mod policy. It reads only information already visible to you and does not automate gameplay — same category as SkyHanni, SkyBlocker and Firmament.

§6§l? How is NEU different from Firmament / SkyHanni / SkyBlocker?

NEU is the original. The others are excellent and we work alongside them — most of them even still read the NEU item repository for their data. NEU's strength is the deepest catalog of SkyBlock items, the most mature item browser, and seven years of little paper-cut fixes.

§6§l? Where do prices & recipes come from?

From the open-source NotEnoughUpdates-REPO. The community keeps it current — new items usually land within hours of a SkyBlock patch.

§6§l? It crashes / recipes don't load — now what?

Nine times out of ten your Fabric API or Fabric Language Kotlin version is too old for your Minecraft version. Update those first. Still broken? Join the Discord and drop a log in #support.

§6§l? Can I contribute?

Yes, please. NEU is open on GitHub. Issues tagged good-first-issue are a great entry point, and PRs for translations and item-repo fixes are always welcome.
